    The Ceramic Pre-Filter plays a crucial role in the filtration process of your Alps Water Filter; constructed from Diatomaceous Earth, it fulfills the initial stage of filtration.

    It effectively eliminates rust, sediment, organic materials, and other potentially harmful microorganisms, including bacteria, cysts, and parasites.

    Microplastics typically measure around ~2.5 microns in size, although they can vary in size.

    The Ceramic Pre-Filter is capable of removing particles as small as 0.2 microns, which means it can eliminate particles that are 10 times smaller than microplastics.

    It is necessary to replace the filter every 6 to 9 months, provided that it is properly cared for and maintained.

    Please be aware that depending on the batch, the following care video featuring Peter may be applicable for new ceramic domes, but only if the water takes longer than 2 hours to pass through the filter.

    We aim to ship all orders within 48 hours of payment being cleared. Unless the product ordered has a lead time which will be advertised on the product page.

    Once we have dispatched your order we will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.

    Damages: 

    Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery.  

    If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to hello@auswaterfilters.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf. 

    Cancellations & Refunds: 

    All orders cancelled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped.  

    If you order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges.
